The Window To The World: Week 19 Poetic Reflection: A Special Feature...Thanks!

Those Trees Particular by Sheng The Wu...

Sunday night,
Fearful Flight.
.
Cell phone rings,
Silent screams.
.
An olive in the sandwich stops the pain,
After drought acorns fall in the autumn rain.
.
Lily and lotus, weak by nature,
Widow and maple, weak by heart.
.
under the shade of birch tree,
Chestnuts pound their fists all day.
.
Cloak the firs’ amber wound with tar brushes,
Veil the beech's fury under splintered crushes.
.
If the trees are mindless,
you are a stranger,
If you know the trees well with fondness,
you must be home.

Participants Talent Show Week 19: on Average Poet Whose Talent Is Beyond Average ;)

Happy Father's Day!

Today, we represent a poet who writes with energy and talent, he calls himself Average Poet,  yet he is not, if you read his words...have fun! Bless Fathers in your families!

Cheers!

The raindrops will mutter
they’ll splatter and sputter
spiraling down to the grasp of the gutter,

the wind whispers weakly
and babbles obliquely
until it’s a memory mewling so meekly—

a storm can be static
or a feisty fanatic
assumptions should never become automatic

as fronts are effective
at being deflective
for people both passive and over-protective.

Inspiration of the Week 20: On Tom Jacob Wu

This week, we honor an aspiring blogger who writes with passion, read it, you will like it.

A Tribe To Fathers...HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!  BY Tom Jacob Wu

Every day the whole year through,
I feel grateful for you,
You're sharp and cool,
You make home the beautiful school.
.
You always listen and share;
You're there whenever you're needed.
Because you care,
Odds are defeated.
.
Dad, you're understood and adored,
You shall always know,
My love will continue to grow,
Happy Fathers’ Day!

The Most Invaluable Poet of Week 3: On Modern Rage By Jesse S. Mitchell

Poseidon on May 23, 2012 by Jesse S. Mitchell

I remember the prayers for rain. The arms upheld. The hands held closed.
The electric light swinging, the shadows curled up the walls.
The metallic air as dry as steel,
I was born a barbarous child in a house of dust.
I was born a barbarous child in a house of dust.
So scarred of dying, thought I’d rust.
I was scared of dying and turning to rust.
And the prayers for rain,
And honey dripped a sound.
“Have we not always indulged you, you uncommunicative master?
Have we not been honest?”
My dust choked throat spit blood,
My dust choked mind dreamed of blood.
I wanted to be water but I frozen and I became ice.
I wanted to become stone but I softened and I became mud.
I wanted to become nothing but I split myself all up into familiar shards
And I became everyone
From the dusts of the Earth, Forever and ever.
Amen.

Hyde Park Poetry (Chicago, London, and New York City), Originally Thursday Poets Rally: Happy Belated Two Year Old Birthday!

First of all, Apologize for the belated TWO year anniversary to Thursday Poets Rally,
(PS: I’m not that kind of person who spends my entire time chatting about family issues, or making long distance calls, I write, think, cook, and eat, that’s my pleasure)…Now as Hyde Park Poetry…
(1/14/2010 – 1/14/2012)…

Happy Belated Two Year Birthday 2 Thursday Poets Rally!

Secondly, history:  Jingle as a blogger (11/28/2009 – 7/27/2011) at
www.wordpress.com is the founder to Thursday Poets Rally, she runs it at Jingle
for about one year, (1/14/2010-1/14/2011), …(now as Aya Wilson)

Beginning February, 2011, Thursday Poets Rally becomes The Poetry Palace with officials serving the community, Jingle continues her support as leading figure and co-run the rally with Leo (2/16/2011- 7/27/2011), Natalie Sunflower (The Orange Tree) takes over the rally
(8/1/2011 – 1/14/2012), to honor poets who blog and people who support; official blogs have modified its names, we have Thursday Poets Rally runs at Hyde Park Poetry (Chicago, London, and The New York City)…. In the past 2.5 years, many officials come, enjoy, and then resign,
We do value their beautiful work and contributions…

1/14/2010 - 1/14/2011, hosted by Jingle, supported by Peter M., Adam Dustus, Waystationone, William, Ishabelle, Wordwand, Ibok, Trisha, Pat, Viola …

2/14/2011 - 7/27/2011, hosted by Jingle / Leo, supported by Jamie Dedes, Blaga, Olivia, etc. ,

8/1/2011 - 6/15/2012, hosted by administrative, supported by Natalie Sunflowers (The Orange Tree), Ava, Chimnese, Blaga, Sarah Bush, Aya Wilson, Grace Henry, Ladynimue, Jilia Bryan Lamb….
and Poets Such As You! Hundreds of You! (Check our sidebar to find poets who are honored...)

Enjoy The Award If You Could, Happy Rally!

At last, the history is complex, but we have our peaks, we have done outstanding job for TWO years in a row! Check out our collections, you will SEE!  ;)

Recently, due to individual reasons, officials could not make comments (2/1/2012 – 7/1/2012), and our participation rates continue to be kept fair…the patience of YOU, is of most important to the rally, once the vacation is over (by 8/1/2012), I will make sure that your submissions are read and comments are made…

Trust me, I’m recommending this information to Bluebell Books so that You, Poets who have served can be honored…So many talents from U 2 Me, I’m waking up, I’m amused, and I’m making changes in my blogging and more….check out our sidebar for honorable details….
