Welcome to Hyde Park Poetry at Promising Poets Parking lot, week 16 of "Inspiration of the week". Talent are abundant these days within the blogsphere and this week I have visited a poet that I am sure will inspire the other talented poets, it's a pleasure to be with you.
Redemption by Tally
you are the world’s last hope
I hold out
hold on to this one last…
mistake?
that there might truly be redemption
in this world
so many betrayals
shattered, I can hold on
just one last time
to you
the last one holding my trust
barring the way down a spiral
of despair for the world
show me
I need but one glimpse
that there is hope
a future to hold
just a flickering flame
of redemption for our world
I hold out
hold on to this one last…
mistake?
that there might truly be redemption
in this world
so many betrayals
shattered, I can hold on
just one last time
to you
the last one holding my trust
barring the way down a spiral
of despair for the world
show me
I need but one glimpse
that there is hope
a future to hold
just a flickering flame
of redemption for our world

loved Tally's work,
somewhat sad but beautiful.
Just saw this, really made my day, thank you so much!
