Participants Talent Show Week 18 on Shard's Multicolored Raindrops

multicolored raindrops by  Kevin Routh

My daughter asked me the other day why I haven't written any children's poems lately, so I promised her that I'd write a new one just for her.
This poem is for Sammi:

multicolored raindrops
drip
drop
drip
drop

falling on the rooftop
drip
drop
drip
drop

are they ever going to stop?
drip
drop
drip
drop

maybe i should get a mop
for
the
multicolored
            raindrops…

multicolored raindrops
drip
drop
drip
drop

falling on the bus stop
drip
drop
drip
drop

this crazy rain may never stop
drip
drop
drip
drop

maybe i should call a cop
to stop
the
multicolored
 raindrops…

little girl in flip flops
drip
drop
drip
drop

dancing in the rain drops
drip
drop
drip
drop

hoping that she’ll never stop
drip
drop
drip
drop

maybe i too will start to hop
in
these
multicolored
raindrops…

I'm cranky and hating this dry, hot weather, so this poem comes as an absolute delight!........ahhh - that's better!
